How we vet our caregivers
Here is how we choose the caregivers who come into your home, step by step, so you know who is coming to help and why we trust them.
Step 1: Identity and background checks
We check each applicant's identity and run a background check before they are placed with a family.
Step 2: Reference checks
We ask for references from people the applicant has worked for before, and we check in with them about reliability, communication and care.
Step 3: In-person interview
We meet applicants in person. We talk through real situations, listen for patience and kindness, and look for people who care the way we do.
Step 4: License and certification checks
Where a role calls for a license or a certificate, such as CPR and first aid, we ask to see it and check that it is current.
Step 5: Training and onboarding
We walk new caregivers through how we work: our care standards, writing care notes after each visit and how to reach the office when they need help.
Step 6: Ongoing reviews
Vetting does not stop after the first visit. We check in with families and follow up on care notes and feedback.
